Diary 36

9th May, 2022

784 days after our first lockdown day.

The last four weeks have been a bit of a mixed bag. What with my fall which is taking some time to get over, I have now had four consecutive days of positive covid tests. Perhaps that is part of what was wrong with me all along. I still have pains in my ribs and my hip is in a permanent state of pain at different intensities. I have a telephone appointment with my GP at 7.30 in the morning and I will update him on all my symptoms. I know he will need to see me face to face.

We have had a couple of quotes for our back garden to be landscaped. The prices were frighteningly high but were both similar and I suppose will be about the going rate. We will wait and see but will have to decide by this weekend.

I am downstairs during the day now so have Jenny to talk to. I am still relegated to the spare bedroom at night until my tests go negative.

As a consequence of my conditions I have not seen the grandchildren for ages. Jenny has seen them in our house but I stayed well out of the way, in bed. Maisie is still “missing in action” and by default, is rarely in my thoughts. I assume the feeling may be mutual. Such a pity! She did however, wish me well on a joint easter card sent by the three of them, so maybe not all is lost.

I have thought about several things lately including especially, Ukraine. I do hope they tan the hide of the Russian invaders. One fighter said they have the motivation to fight for their country whereas the Russian soldiers are fighting for money. How true. They do of course also swallow all of Putin’s propaganda. Clearly they are also a bit thick.

I can hardly be bothered to try an analyse what is happening with Boris and his Tories. They are liars and charlatans. None more so than Mogg “the posh one”. And where is Gove? He has been kept well out of the way.

Now the Tories are trying to blacken Kier Starmer’s name. They will fail but it shows how desperate they are to do any thing underhand to steer away criticism from them selves. Numpties!!!

Diary 35

2nd, May 2022

777 days after our first lockdown day

I’ve been away on holiday so lots to talk about since my last entry. 10 days in Spain and 3 days near Keighley have been highlights of the last 19 days. We also finished our break in Scotland with Bill and Irene. Having to use crutches and, more recently, walking sticks, clearly reduced the amount of time we could see the sights. However, the main objective of all the visits was to catch up with old and valued friends and in this, we succeeded admirably.

In Scotland we were able to see Bill and Irene’s friends and family at a wonderful meal to celebrate Bill’s 75th Birthday. We also ate out a couple more times and enjoyed a lovely visit to New Lanark, on the Clyde River. It boasts a wonderfully preserved woollen mill and employee’s village and school.

We were lucky enough to fit in a visit to Spain. We overlapped the visit with Sally and Jim and spent our first night in a hotel. Thereafter we stayed in Sally’s flat in Alhama. We caught up with Ann and Don, who we don’t think will ever leave Spain. We met our good pals Donna and Pete and their son Harry, for a meal in La Zenia. We also saw them at their house and went for an Indian Meal on Campasol urbanisation. It was an excellent meal. We met our favourite Spanish pal, Diego at La Duna Restaurant. It was fantastic to see him, especially as Sally and Jim did not get a chance to see him. David was on holiday in Benidorm so we spent a day there with him and Jo and her daughter Liv. A really great day where I had a “sex on the beach” cocktail and Liv kareokeed at the Rose and Crown. For lunch we all went for a big all-day breakfast.

When in Rome..! On the Benidorm day, I did over 8000 steps. Phenomenal. With Sally and Jim we went to Puerto Mazarron for drinks and tapas. A bonus was that our Cottingham neighbours, Matthew and Di were on holiday too so we met with them in Alhama and went for a Menu del Dia to the Don Jamon restaurant were we could eat outside. It was a beautiful day. After Benidorm, David told us he had proposed to Jo and she said yes. Fantastic news!! The wedding will be next year and we are looking forward to it. Unfortunately they have decided that both dads will give a speech. Still, plenty of time to prepare. We had a very relaxing 10 days but when we got back to the UK the car wouldn’t start. The AA came within the hour and “jumped” the car off. They said it may have been somebody touching the car as they passed setting off the alarm which may have drained the battery. He fixed it in no time and as a bonus, the stop start feature of the car rebooted itself. Every cloud….!

We have seen the grandchildren a little but Maisie has been absent since 26/12/2021. Thea is coping well and Ronnie is happy as long as someone takes him to football, cricket or swimming. Thea is a very mature 15 year old and is, I think, fully aware of what is going on.

Our government is causing problems with their poor governance and Boris et al are an embarrassment. Now we are trying to send asylum seekers to Rwanda for goodness sake. What are they on?

My injuries from falling down the stairs are improving but I still need a stick and cannot lay on my left hand side. I can however drive a bit but Jenny still does most of it.

Diary 34

13th April, 2022.

758 days since our first lockdown day.

This entry starts with a bang. Literally. I fell down the stairs on the way up to bed and on the way down during the fall, I hit the banister post resulting in cracked ribs, a slight fracture of the pelvis and just general pain all around. Especially at the top of my left hip. Jenny made me comfortable at the bottom of the stairs and dialled 999 at 11.45 pm. It took the ambulance over 2 hours to get here so I laid on the floor next to the radiator, which, fortunately, I missed. The paramedics were brilliant and took me to Hull Royal infirmary for treatment. I had x-rays, blood tests, ECG and Blood Pressure Test and a full examination.  I am now on the end of my 3rd week and all is going well. I have been to see my GP who wants me to keep an eye on my blood pressure. I do have a monitor. I may also see if I can now walk without the crutches.

There is so much about our government, and as a result, my own country that I am very ashamed of. We have a government that is totally inept. It’s Ministers and MPs are mostly bent, fearful and/or corrupt. One or two try to rein Johnson in but is it conscience or fear of losing their jobs that motivates them? I wish I knew. The latest government scheme is to send male refugees who came on boats across the English Chanel, to that super luxurious country that is Rwanda in Africa. A country with about the worst human rights record in the world, although that may now have been overtaken by Russia. What are we doing!!!??

The Russkis have been bombing Ukrainian cities with impunity for weeks now, killing mainly women and children who are innocent of all that is going on. They have been killed whilst hiding in their basements waiting for a short ceasefire to escape the terror. The pictures on tv are horrific and all the Russkis can do in mitigation is blame the Ukrainians saying they did it themselves for propaganda reasons. Yeh. Sure!!! I think that on the world stage, Russia will be a pariah country and population in general for decades. Many Russians do not deserve the treatment they will get. We know what it is like because our Prime Minister has made the UK a pariah too and we don’t deserve it. We must have an election forthwith but that evil narcissist won’t call one. A by-election is due so it will be interesting to see how Khan’s votes will be redistributed. Now he was a nasty piece of work and if he voting public vote another conservative MP in, then their is no hope for any of us.

WE went to Leeds (early) this morning to take David to pick up a new car. A big 4WD Mazda. The weather was beautiful and we had a great drive. Well, Jenny drove both ways like when we went to Scotland last weekend to stay with Bill and Irene.

Diary 33

30th March, 2022

744 days since our first lock down day (15/3/2020)

The chickens are coming home to roost for the “party gate” perpetrators, including Johnson himself. About 20 fixed penalty fines have been issued so far and there will be more to come.It is not known yet if Boris will be fined as the Grey report has not yet been published. My feeling is that Boris will somehow wriggle out of it. It will be the minions who will bear the brunt of the scandal. For that is what it is!! Along with all the bribery, corruption and profiteering allegations, it will be mostly swept under the carpet. As usual.

It would appear that the world’s problems are not really helping BJ mask or lessen party gate despite the Tories’ best efforts.

They have dug themselves a massive hole with Brexit and are really creative in their lies to cover up how bad things are in the UK.I remember walking, when I was able, and seeing signs explaining who were the builders and architects etc and as often as no, in the corner was an EU sign with the blurb “Part funded by the EU” alongside. I haven’t seen one now for a couple of years. WE have lost all of that sort of thing. And ask farmers and fishermen how they are doing. The latest scandal is the P & O sackings of “too expensive staff”. Ironically, the seaman;s union urged it’s members to vote for Brexit, or as I refer to it, “Brexshit”.

The world events which have overshadowed everything else, involve, of course, The Ukraine.World leaders have been trying to find a solution to the illegal Russian invasion and it is very noticeable that the UK is basically excluded from the major talks with the USA and Europe taking the lead. W are of course there but it is very noticeable that the UK is ignored. Nobody even wants to shake the hand of BJ or even talk to him. Why would they. He is a proven liar and a complete narcissist. In fact he has a lot in common with Putin. Except for BJ’s inferior intellect and his horrible hair, they could be interchangeable. Meanwhile, Putin continues with his war irrespective of the Ukrainian’s ability to fight and kill thousands of Russian soldiers and destroy thousands of tons of armaments. I think at the end of it all there will be no winners but what a pity we have nobody in government who could broker a peace.

The NHS comes under ever greater pressure and BJ’s lot are making it even harder. Charges are being imposed on LFT kits at over £2 a time. Fortunately, we had pre-empted this and have acquired 11 boxes of seven tests so have plenty in hand. We are gradually learning how to beat possible restrictions. One of the lies perpetuated is the “new” hospitals they are going to build. 40 were promised. Number built? Zero! What has happened however is that a memo went out to all trusts asking for details of any additional buildings or extensions and these “works” are counted as new hospitals, Shameful.

The NHS workers however had to look after me over last week end. I was going to bed and was half way up when, for some reason, I fell backwards down to the bottom, hitting the banister post on the way sown. I could not move and Jenny turned me round so I could rest my head on the bottom stair. We dialled 999 and three hours later an ambulance came and took me to Hull Royal Infirmary. X rays showed cracked ribs and a fractured pelvis. Very painful. After a night under observation, I was sent home at noon with a pair of crutches and two boxes of co-codamol. I have to rest for at least 2-4 weeks. The paramedics, doctors and nursing staff were superb throughout.

We had a lovely visit from Sally a week ago which we followed up with a visit to Louth o see Jan and her partner, Terry. A really lovely chap and as he drives we are looking forward to them visiting Cottingham.

David has completed on his new house in Thorngumbald. Lots of work to do and Thea and Ronnie have picked their rooms. If Maisie ever goes, she will have to bunk up with Thea. David took Thea and 3 others to Leeds to see Ru Paul lat night. Apparently it was great. Drag is not my cup of Earl Grey.

Sadly, we lost our next door neighbour Jackie to emphysema/COPD, after being ill for some time. We never got to know her very well despite the few chats over the garden wall, but she was really nice. Our condolences to her daughter Andrea.

It was nice to get out to live concerts again. A “Free” tribute band were very good but too loud for me. Much better were “Church and Third” who sang West Coast American music and the best of the lot, a solo blues guitarist, Sun Jay. I even bought a CD.

Diary 32

17th March, 2022

731 days since our first lock down day (15/3/2020)

Over 2 years since I started this blog and so much has changed in the world and personally. Of course, Boris is still our PM and a right royal mess he has made of everything he touches.

Starting with Dominic Cummings who was pulling all the strings. has had them cut after a short while as he was an inept liar and ignored his own rules which everyone in the country had to follow. Now he has turned and is spending his time trying (fairly successfully) to undermine his previous boss. Quite successfully although neither of the comes out of the episode very well. Narcissists.

Then there was his fatherhood for the umpteenth time and nobody really knows how many kids he has. I don’t actually care. He is a serial philanderer and his now wife, Carrie doesn’t seem to care. There are a lot more stories in this vein, to come out, I am sure! Some of his escapades seem to have taken place whilst married to someone else. Dare I call him an adulterer?

Then there are his corruption issues along with his courting of Russian oligarchs. Money has been sloshing around for years from Russia which one way or another has ended up in the pockets of many of his friends as well as his ministers and the Tory party. There is a strange whiff of corruption permanently around his side of government particularly in the way cash is given for lobbying and worst of all cash from a Russian who was elevated to the House of Lords. Even the annual Budget changes have made his Ministers richer. I think I want to be sick. Nauseous.

Brexit has been a shambles and it is all down to Johnson. We were promised a better standard of living on all fronts and what we have is the loss of free movement, loss of EU grants for UK projects, Massive paperwork for exports and imports and tourist travel. Help!! Many Europeans don’t like us any more and make things very difficult to live or work in Europe. I believe we moved out of Spain in time although it feels like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. The out break of Covid 19 hasn’t helped but that caused it own problems. Brexit? Shambolic.

Th Covid outbreak was mishandled from day one. There was no organised plan, especially with regards to face masks and other preventative equipment. This was partly due to giving contracts worth tens of millions of pounds, to his and his cabinets mates. Many of the contracts were not fulfilled because they were given to mates with payments in advance but no experience of production of this very necessary equipment. Millions were lost to us taxpayers but not to his pals who became rich by doing nothing. How many people will have needlessly died in this period. Murderous.

And now the BIG ONE. The invasion by Russia into UKRAINE. Putin is a psychopath and has chosen his target well. The Ukraine is not in NATO and we cannot legitimately send our forces and those of Europe and the States to fight Vlad the Impaler. But once Putin works that out, we are on the back foot when he invades Latvia and other countries. He will not deal. He wants a fight. The only light on the horizon is that his armed forces are weak and easy to beat. But so is Johnson and I fear for us all. Putin is capable of pushing the button. At least if he does, Boris, who is a dickhead, will at least be a dead dickhead.

To summarise:

A narcissistic, adulterous, shambolic, murderous, nauseous, dickhead.

Have a good night.

Diary 31

28th February, 2022

709 days since our first lock down

I’m feeling a bit guilty about not keeping my entries up to date but the Covid debacle, Brexit and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, have left me reeling a bit and I have come to realise there are more important things around than my ramblings. However, it does no harm to put “pen to paper” when readership is totally insignificant. Also, there is a sense of satisfaction when i press “Publish”. So, now for a I go for another eye injection on Wednesday and I feel my eyesight may not be getting any better. I am driving, although only in daylight. My left eye fills up quickly and makes it difficult to read, even with the “bad” eye closed. After 7 injections I am getting fed up with it all really. I don’t mind being short sighted. That can be corrected. This is something else.

I’ve watched Ronnie play two games in which he was again used badly in my view. Yesterday, for example, he came on from the bench and caused havoc with their defence all funnelling back to cancel him out. The result was that all the play was in their half. He was then taken off and the play moved into our half and they scored three goals winning well but, in my view, undeserved.

Talking of sporty stuff, I have rejoined the gym but have paid for a personal trainer, Nikki, who will try and strengthen me up, Nowhere on my ageing frame in particular. Just a general improvement in strength. bought two 5kg dumb bells on line. They are not called dumb bells for nothing. I can hardly lift them for the arm curls, which is why I bought them. So I bought two 1kg weights from Aldi for a couple of quid and they are perfect. One day I may manage the 5kg weights. I have as mentioned before, also booked some physiotherapy sessions to get some treatment on my back and knees. The physio is called Sam and between him and Nikki, I am hoping to notice a big difference. Especially going up stairs. The sessions are hard but manageable and some I can do at home.

So, Putin HAS invaded the Ukraine and I was ready to sympathise with a bombed out country. Defeated by a far superior force. But it has not turned out that way. The Ukrainian people have been absolutely magnificent in the defence of their country, although, it has to be acknowledged that the Russian Army, in large numbers, are less than enthusiastic about their duty to kill people they regard as their mates. The problem is that even if they all lay down their arm, Putin is threatening to wield the big stick and use nuclear weapons. The man is an absolute psychopathic sociopath, He has no feelings or empathy with people including old women, mothers and children who can be seen queuing to get out of their country into Poland. He is a pathetic excuse for a human being and I can’t be the only one who wants him GONE.

An election would be good, but sadly he is a 5 foot 7 inch dictator. It is interesting that small dictators have regularly been nutters of one sort or another.

Kim Jong Un. Unknown but between 5’4″nand 5′ 7″

Putin 5′ 7″

Napoleon 5′ 6″

Mussolini 5′ 7″

Stalin 5′ 5″

Lenin 5′ 5″

Franco 5′ 4″

Khrushchev 5′ 3″ , and so on.

In some ways Putin is the worst of the lot. He hates NATO and when Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia joined, it must have fried his brain. At least that may explain all the cosmetic surgery resulting in an inability to smile. Hopefully he will nave little to smile about soon anyway.

As for Boris and his entourage, they are mostly absent from the fray or taking no action to allow Ukrainians into the UK without Visas. Why do we not do the same as our European friends and allow them all in for at least three years? There seems to be no problem letting Russian millionaires in and giving them citizenship and even ennobling them giving them, effectively, a vote on our laws. Are we mad?!!! Not us. Our politicians. In the meantime bombs are falling on the Ukraine while it’s people try to get out of the country or are sheltering in the very deep metro system. At least we are sending arms to be distribute amongst volunteers who, in the main, have had no training. We also have the threat of the use of nuclear weapons. The signs are clear that we are dealing with a madman. What a world we live in. Terrible.

Diary 30

14th February, 2022

695 days since our first lockdown.

We enjoyed a trip to London from Thursday to Monday, ostensibly to attend the funeral of Jim’s sister, Gillian. She was the most interesting person with a very interesting and well travelled life. We were able to attend at the church and crematorium services. All went very well.

On Saturday morning we went to Crystal Palace Park for a walk with Sally and Jim. We were joined by Janine who lives nearby, Leanne and Carol who themselves were visiting the City. Goodness it was cold but nevertheless, very enjoyable. In the evening we went to a Concert with Sally and Jim and Ken. Jim’s brother, Richard was in the orchestra brass section playing his trombone.

We shared the driving equally on the way there but Jenny did the majority on the way back as I found it to dark and the rain did not help. Our car consumed over 50mpg which was just as well at £1.64 per litre.

I rejoined the Gym yesterday and booked four sessions with a personal trainer and a physiotherapist to try and kick start my physical weaknesses. Particularly my knees and excess weight.

At the moment there is a threat of war between Russia and the Ukraine {and everyone else in NATO). We sent Liz Truss to mediate. The most useless politician in the world, followed by Boris who employed her. My own view is that Putin, a small person wanting to be bigger, like Napoleon and Hitler, will pull back at the last minute. He has too much of his ill gotten gains to lose and although he has the power, he has no guts. It is all posturing with no real intent except to enhance a crap reputation. Yes, it will all show that he could do it if he so chose but the Russian people do not want it. They regard the Ukrainians as their pals and the only reason for the whole thing is Putin’s fear of the expansion of NATO. This threat to peace will not help his cause. One good thing is that the whole scenario has helped to re enforce Boris’s uselessness and the poor standing he has on the world stage. He’s a laughing stock around the world.

Diary 29

7th February, 2021

688 days since our first lockdown.

Boris has outdone himself this time. He knew when he mentioned Jimmy Saville in relation to Kier Starma’s time in the crown prosecution service, there would be consequences. Although his drivel was a lie, there are always plenty who will either believe it or use the fake news to their advantage. This time it resulted in the opposition leader being harassed outside parliament. It was all very reminiscent of the Trump era. One we thought we had seen the end of but has been regurgitated by a snivelling low life who claims to be our leader. Well, not mine. He should take apologetic action now! All his Tory MPs should be ashamed of themselves for effectively going along with it all. They should at the very least trigger a vote of ” No Confidence”. It may yet happen. Let us hope so.

I have rejoined the Gym. I am still not 100% but being shattered after just 300 steps is not good and I need to improve my capabilities. I have an appointment with the physio on Wednesday and my first session with a personal trainer on Monday. I shall also take some dietry advice to try and get some weight off. At the moment I am well over 100 kgs. I will target (long term) 90 Kgs but in the meantime will be happy to be around 95 Kgs by Easter. I have just had three pairs of trousers extended in the waistband so I may have to have them redone if I manage it. I won’t mind the cost if I achieve my goal to get down from 40″ waist.

We went to football on Sunday morning. My goodness it as cold and windy but we enjoyed a good game where we met nephew Paul and his wife who were there to watch Ryan, their son.

David’s situation seems to be getting settled after all this time. We will all be glad to see the back of this sad saga.

I have got a new phone from EE in Beverley. I had seen the rep in Hull and had intended to go there to finalise the contract but got on he wrong bus. However the branch in Beverley sorted it all out and I am now the proud owner of a new Samsung. EE have now stopped any association with Huwawe. I am paying a lot less for this phone and the camera, with 35 million pixels and a 10x zoom, is amazing. We are meeting Sally and Jim in London for a couple of days soon and I hope to get some decent photos.

We have arrange for a painter and decorator to come and deal with the lounge, hall, stairs and landing in May and I think we may get the same lot who did the block paving at the front to landscape the back garden. Nothing fancy but a good tidy up with nice seating areas. I would love to have ago myself at the garden but it would take me ages. Likewise the decorating.

Diary 28

1st February, 2022.

682 days since our first lockdown

So, Boris is in the Ukraine to scare the Russians into backing off from the border, threatening Putin with a raft of financial “sanctions”.That will really scare Putin who will have money and property all over the world. The real reason he has gone is to avoid questions on “Partygate”. The scandal that will not go away. And he is still supported by the usual creepy pals. Norreen Dorriss, Michael Gove and Jacob Reece Mogg.

Our country is going to the dogs. A corrupt Metropolitan police force who are also accused of misogyny, racism and being under the control of the government. Then we have institutional lying and a female minister giving an interview where she appears to be extremely inebriated. They really don’t care. One outcome of all this is that the world is laughing at us. I don’t see any sign that they feel sorry for us, which wold be preferable. But they know that we voted for Brexit and for Boris to oversee it, so we deserve the outcome.Who can blame them? I can’t even think about Covid but to be fair, other countries have made a right mess of that too. We are in a mess and Boris making a visit to the Ukraine to speak to Putin, does not auger well. Particularly for the Ukraine. Boris will not be able to deviate Putin from his chosen path, which is invasion. I hope I am very wrong. Back at home, there are attempts to get a vote of no confidence from Tory MPs but as yet there are insufficient numbers of MPs who may be putting their careers on the line. How can anyone not want rid of a philanderer, conman and liar who leads our country. So many voters believe what he says, without question. Both he and many of his ministers have been shouting out that we are the one of the fastest growing economies. Not true!! WE are one of the slower ones, by a large percentage, being well behind many others. Of the G7 countries, we are 5th only. NOT the fastest. Another in a long list of lies which started with the £350 milliion per day we would save by coming out of the EU which would go to the NHS. Now they are going to put up National Insurance. Effectively a tax increase to help the NHS.

It has been a busy time in the transfer market for Hull City. With new Turkish players, an owner and manager all from Turkey, we will be getting used to the waiving of the Turkish flag. The new owner has endeared himself to the fans who seem to love him. I shall save my “love” until the end of the season to see if he sticks to his promises including £2 entry for pensioners and children under 11.

We had Sam the Plumber round yesterday who fixed the boiler and did extra pipework so I could adjust the water pressure without going down on my knees. Lee the decorator also called to measure up for painting the lounge, hall, stairs and landing. It’s going to be busy here in a few weeks.

I called at Mum’s yesterday. She is well but the missing watch, is still nowhere to be found. I may try and have a search upstairs where we found her jewellery box. Sometimes she wanders around the house I think and then does not remember that she has done that

David’s situation is getting close to final settlement unless, as usual, his Ex finds a small detail with which to delay matters. At least he is still able to involve Ronnie with football and cricket. On Sunday we both went o an indoor cricket session and he also played for Tickton. In the foot ball he played very well and scored (again) a very good goal. They eventually won 5-1. Nicola, who knows nowt about football, also turned up. Why? She seems to like keeping in touch with the other mothers. She won’t keep it up when finances are finally settled. David is gearing up to re-enter the fray by going to indoor nets practice with Cottingham CC. It’s going to be an interesting sum

We have spoken to Sally and Jim a few times and have confirmed we are going to Croydon next week for Gillian’s funeral. We are staying for three nights at the same hotel as last time. The Innkeeper’s Lodge Beckenham. We will go by car so will need to book the Dartford Crossing on-line, Sally and Jim may even come back with us for a short visit to Yorkshire. That would be nice.

There has been a lot of jet fighter activity round here of late. According to Flight Radar they are French planes. NATO practising to defend the Ukraine perhaps?

Our friends the Clarkes, have enjoyed a lovely week in Egypt. Not my choice of destination but any port in a storm right now. Good for them.

Time for a nap. Nothing to do. Roll on summer. Next week I am going to sign on for the gym.

On to other things. I took Ronnie, with his dad, To watch his first ever league game at the MKM Stadium, between Hull City and Swansea. The Tigers won a great game 2-0. This win takes them about 10 points away from the relegation zone. And a good time was had by all.

Diary 27

24th January, 2022

673 days since our first lockdown day.

David and I went to watch Ronnie play for Tickton on Sunday at Longcroft. They beat Bridlington 7-0 . Ronnie scored one and had an assist. Generally he played really well, considering his hair was always getting in the way. He needs to get his fringe cut. He will definitely need a trim before the cricket season, and training start next month.

After I got home and got ready for lunch at the Bella Rosa in Anlaby to celebrate my Uncle Raymond’s 90th Birthday.Along with Auntie Phillis, Pamela and her kids were there. Also, A goodly crowd who all enjoyed wonderful food. We bought the biggest vanilla slices I have ever seen at the delicatessen next door and had them with coffee at home. Goodness, they filled us up!

Went to Carol’s in Bilton for a ride on Monday and were treated to bacon and sausage sandwiches for lunch. I managed to drive there and back without any problems and indeed my next eye injection is not until the 2nd March. A gap of 6 weeks, extended from 4 weeks. Things are looking up. I have however terminated my volunteer duties with the East Riding Theatre. At least for now.

BJ is now in real trouble with the Police…..at last. The Civil Sevice Report has been handed in to the Metropolitan Police and Cressida Dick has been forced into action. It took her long enough. I think the report will be publlshed tomorrow or Thursday. Johnson must go. Now!
